A collection of items consisting of 13 one cent postcards (12 preprinted), dated 1920-1951. Twelve postcards are addressed to William A., Edyth M., Howard E. or Howard E. and Edith Emge in Denver. One is addressed to the Colorado State Highway Dept. Six are Denver tax notices, four are receipts for insurance payments, two are notices from San Mateo County, California and one is handwritten with two messages in 1947. Five partial and whole envelopes include three bearing Canadian two cent stamps with the young Queen Elizabeth II, one envelope from Quito, Ecuador and one from Charles F. Cobb to his daughter, Helene L. O'Rourke in 1929. Four envelopes are addressed to Howard E. Emge in Denver. Two letters are from Charles F. Cobb to Helene in 1928 and 1929; and one handwritten letter is from Pvt. Richard Mattson to Leo, Mary, Judy and Joe in 1942. Also included are a Western Greyhound Lines baggage check stub and a Greyhound name tag, "to New York and the World's Fair" with the name Helen Cullen of 1220 Mapleton in Boulder.

Charles Cobb came to Boulder in 1887 at the age of 25. He owned a freighting business called C.F. Cobb's Rocky Mountain Freight Teams, and hauled supplies up to the mining camps from Boulder, and ore from the mines to the mills.
